Learning to Watercolor!

I've always wanted to learn how to paint so at the urging of some friends I signed up for a watercolor class at the local College in February.
Ok...so I've done a lot of scary things in my life but just when you think hey... this looks fun and easy...well let me tell you watercolor is not for the faint at heart! I'm not going to say much about what I think about how I'm doing because I learned a long time ago that Art in any form is Judged by everyone! I figured I would just go ahead and start using this page to put a few up since everyone says they want to see them. Doing it this way is a lot less damaging to the ego as well.
One of my goals when I started this was to have something to do besides watch TV or read when traveling abroad and in the states for work. I decided to start carrying my supplies and have some fun sketching last year and it does seem to help make trips a bit more interesting and less boring when the workday is over. So far I've done a large sketch at Winter NAMM (top of the page) two paintings at the Music MESSE in Germany (the plant thing at the bottom is one) and one in Holland. This could actually turn out to be a fun hobby...what am I saying...It's a blast! Go buy some supplies and give it a whirl...if you have the guts that is!
